The Bouffants to Play 2010 Pink Trash Ball   

Get ready, get set, go spooky, and go pink!  The fourth annual Pink Trash Ball has been scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2010 at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville.  Although pink will again reign supreme, this year’s Pink Trash Ball will take on a spookier look and feel in celebration of Halloween. Supporters and participants are encouraged to either dress up in wild pink costumes or don a spookier look.   

The Bouffants, the premier party band of the South, is again the featured band at this annual late-night edgy event. They have thrilled audiences all over the country with classic songs from groups like The Jackson Five, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and Sly & the Family Stone. You’ll also hear classic hits from Motown and the Stax, to rock and roll, and even current favorites. Hailing from Memphis, the Bouffants features four fabulous vocalists backed by five fantastic musicians. Pink Trash participants will be delighted by their bright showy costumes, outrageous BIG hair, hip choreography and a dance beat that will have you grooving and moving. While dancing the night away, participants are encouraged to enjoy complimentary nibbles, bites and treats.  Doors open at 9 pm. Pink Ribbon Bagels Return to Panera Bread in October!    

Panera Bread’s delicious Pink Ribbon Bagels are slated to return once again to Northwest Arkansas for the entire month of October in celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these special bagels are donated to the Komen Ozark Affiliate.  This is applicable to its Fayetteville and Bentonville bakery-cafes only.   

The Pink Ribbon Bagel kickoff event is scheduled to begin at 8am on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Panera’s Fayetteville location.  For that one entire day, 100% of the sales of the Pink Ribbon Bagel sold at both the Fayetteville and Bentonville bakery-cafes will be donated to the Ozark Affiliate.  From October 1 through October 31st. Twenty-five cents will be donated to the Ozark Affiliate for each Pink Ribbon Bagel sold.  Cost of each bagel is $1.25.

The Panera Pink Ribbon Bagel is baked fresh daily at each of Panera’s bakery-cafes and features cherry chips and real bits of Bing cherries and cranberries.   The Pink Ribbon Bagel concept was actually developed in 2001 by Sue Stees, one of Panera Bread’s first franchisees and a breast cancer survivor.
