Pink Ribbon Luncheon

On September 30th the Ozark Affiliate kicked off October with our annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon. This year Jill Conner Brown the Sweet Potato Queen graced us with her presence at the last minute.  Our original guest speaker Kelly Corrigan was taken ill and unable to attend.  It is our hope that Jill will join us next October for Round Two!

In addition we presented two awards to honor those that have made an impact on our mission.  Denise Garner was the recipient of the Komen National Promise of One Award. Denise has been an avid supporter of our mission for numerous years and has chaired The Pink Ribbon Luncheon for the past three years. The Gaye Cypert Power of a Promise was awarded to Springdale Chicks “Pitch for the Cure”. This fast pitch girl’s softball tournament has raised over $65,000 over the past 4 years to support our mission. We congratulate both Springdale Chicks and Denise Garner on these prestigious awards.
