For nearly 15 years, the No Excuses Breast Cancer Outreach Project has provided women (and men) an important avenue to better breast health regardless of the health barrier or challenges each individual faced.  True to its name, No Excuses strives to remove those “excuses” such as the financial, emotional, physical, or cultural barriers that prevent women from seeking the breast care and support they need.

The program has evolved over time, as the needs of the community served have evolved; it is continually evaluated by tracking the number of women receiving appropriate education, screening and imaging services.  No Hay Excusas, the Spanish- language component of the project, is an example of this determination to succeed in reaching women across barriers and cultures.

No Excuses offers free education at clinics, health fairs, and workplaces.  The program offers diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, biopsies and pathology and breast MRIs to uninsured, underinsured and low-income women.  No Excuses offers bras and prosthesis and support groups to those needing other support.

The No Excuses Breast Cancer Outreach Project, working together with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, has become the landmark screening, education and outreach program for women and breast cancer in Northwest Arkansas
