The Komen Ozark Race for the Cure® has become a huge part of my life and your involvement brings us closer to a cure. A new generation of people diagnosed with breast cancer will be upon us shortly and they need better treatment and more options in their fight. Thank you so much for participating in our first "call to arms" for the 2010 Komen Ozark Race for the Cure®.
This year's race is about making an IMPACT on your life, your community, and your world. As a sponsor, you have the unique opportunity to make a double impact. First, your monetary contributions directly fund the fight against breast cancer. Secondly, you have the ability to enhance race day for our participants making their own impact more tangible.
Your involvement is crucial to the goals we have set for our race. Your impact will be felt on race day and in the years to come. We also realize the need for the experience to have an impact on your business. Race day visibility, product placement, race course signage, and your logo on our race shirts are a few of the ways sponsorship can benefit your company. The exposure from race shirts only can be invaluable as they are often seen in the community for several years after the race. I know our goals for participating may be different but our success can certainly be shared.
The atmosphere on race day is like no other. It is a time to reflect, and celebrate. Our community in northwest Arkansas offers tremendous support through participation and sponsorship. When I have spoken to other race chairs they are dumbfounded a community our size can produce over 16,000 participants and over 400 race day volunteers. I cannot fully express my appreciation you have considered joining me in my fight. With your help, I know the 2010 race will impact us all.
Sincerely,
Chad Sullivan
2010 Komen Ozark Race Chair
